How long is a beer pong table?

Table dimensions depend on your format. BPONG’s published tournament specification lists an 8-foot by 2-foot table at 27.5 inches high. That is a named tournament specification, not a requirement for every casual event. See BPONG’s equipment rules if you are preparing for one of its events.

For a casual Pong Anchors night, a stable 6–8-foot table is a practical starting point. Shorter tables change the throwing distance, so tell players what to expect. Pong Anchors kits do not include a table. Check the table’s condition, stability, and available floor space before buying equipment for a whole room.

How do you arrange the cups?

Build a ten-cup triangle at each end: four cups in the back row, then three, two, and one facing the opponent. Keep the formation centered, cups upright, and the setup consistent on both ends. For our dry-cup format, place one Pong Anchor in every empty cup.

Before your guests arrive, try the throwing position from each end. Watch for low ceilings, lights, furniture, and people walking through the shot path. Leave enough room for players and spectators without blocking doors or service routes; the required clearance depends on the room.

A kit checklist for one to four tables

These quantities are calculated from the Pong Anchors Standard Set. Each set includes 20 inserts, 20 cups, 6 balls, and one carry case. Two balls can be in play while the rest remain available as spares.

Make the reset part of your setup

Keep a place for removed cups, a next-game list, and the spare balls. At the end of a game, count the cups and inserts before rebuilding the rack. After the event, wipe the anchors with a damp cloth, let them dry, and pack them in the case. Do not soak or machine wash them.
